I tried this, which once you run and save should wipe everything in the sheet from existance, but it still shows that every row in the sheet is used.
Re: Million rows in an excel sheet Don't ask me to explain how or why of anything, but here's what I did that seemed to clear up the file's issue: 1 Downloaded. Opened spreadsheet took a bit. Nothing changed. I selected the bookcc. That seems odd, so I wonder what is going on with the row heights. Go back to the original xlsx file and rename so it has the xlsx file extension again and open in Excel. Select all and clear all for good measure and save. Reopen in Excel and do a ctrl-end and it goes to A1.
So, I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it looks like your original file somehow got a custom row height assigned to each row, and Excel was not going to forget it.
